Eric Abella

My fitness career started at a gym when I was 16 years old. I was happy to be part of the laundry team—I can launder and fold a mean towel! From then on I was hooked. Seeing clients lives change in any positive way is incredibly fulfilling for me.

I attended the University of Massachusetts majoring in Exercise Science and Physiology. Within weeks I joined a health club as a personal trainer. I would become the Personal Training Manager/Athletic Director for 16 more years. As much as I loved day-to-day club management, I never gave up training clients, which has been a passion of mine for the last 25+ years.

I'm never gonna sit here and scream in your face to do more reps or lift more weight. The only time you may hear me get loud is if you bring in your pup for a visit! I'm here to be your coach, organizer, motivator, repetition counter, and friend. I will always be by your side and on your side. If you come in with a movie quote and I can't guess it, I will do burpees for you.

I also love carving pumpkins. It's something that has become an annual event for me for the last 14 years, and the more elaborate the better.

I can't wait to see you at our club and become part of our community!

Mia Lazarewicz

Hi! I became a personal trainer by accident and have been doing it for the fifteen years since. I want to help others feel happier and calmer, whether it's teaching them a new athletic skill, reassuring their anxieties, or sharing a hilarious joke. We opened Amplify because we knew that the industry needed a place where people could have fun exercising and not be screamed at or feel ashamed.

I've competed in gymnastics since I was 4 years old, trained in skiing, track, and cheerleading, and became an American Ninja Warrior in 2013. Adult sports opened up an entirely new world for me and I love bringing that to other people. If it's a fast, explosive, and sometimes dangerous sport, I love it.

Outside the gym, find me cooking, reading, doomscrolling Twitter, heckling Eric, and playing with my pets. Please bring your dog into the gym and interrupt any meeting I'm in, thanks in advance.

Sean McManus

I have been in the fitness industry since 2006 and have had the privilege of working with people of all ages and levels – from kids to people in their 90’s. I've worked with complete beginners, people in recovery, and competitive athletes. My favorite people to train are people that exercise reluctantly, or who find it challenging to incorporate fitness into their life. I’m a father of three young kids, so I understand the days go quickly!

It brings me so much joy to see somebody feel good about themselves because they feel better physically. It’s the passion that I have and the enjoyment I get from sharing it with others that has given me the drive to open Amplify Fitness. 

Areas of expertise includes: older populations, improving strength, cardiovascular health, pre/post-natal exercise, posture, balance, functional training, marathon training, body weight training, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, Parkinson's.

Personal Training

Li Chen

Hi everyone! I discovered my passion for movement through playing multiple sports and being an overly active kid. This passion for challenging the human body led me to become a personal trainer. I aim to integrate fitness into my clients' lifestyles in a sustainable and enjoyable way, guiding them towards their fitness goals while ensuring they find joy in the journey.

The fitness industry is ever-changing, with information that can often be conflicting and difficult to navigate. My desire to learn about human health led me to a master’s degree in Biostatistics at UMass Amherst, and I am currently working as a Statistician at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Data and science provide the accurate, reliable, and effective information that I need in order to help you. My long-term goal is to be a researcher in the human health/performance field.


When I’m not on in the gym, you can find me on the basketball court, practicing my downward dog in a heated yoga session, taking in nature on a hike, or stocking up on protein at Costco. I never say no to a good workout (or a scoop of chocolate ice cream), and I’m always open to trying new workouts or sports. After all, variety is the secret ingredient that makes life sizzle — in the gym and in the dessert aisle.

Wally Mustafa

I'm Wally Mustafa and I'm a certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor, and health coach. I've been in the fitness industry for over 10 years, and I've got the skills and knowledge to help anyone achieve their fitness goals. But what sets me apart is my background in fight sports like boxing and mixed martial arts. I'm not just a trainer, I'm a warrior. I'll push you to your limits and beyond, and you'll love every minute of it. I especially love working with special populations.

When I'm not in the gym, you can find me gaming, dancing, or tackling obstacle course races. So, whether you're a superhero in training, or just looking to get in shape, I'm the man for the job. I'll help you become the best version of yourself and make sure you have a blast along the way. And who knows, maybe by the end of your journey, you'll be able to climb walls just like Spider-Man, my favorite superhero!

Christian Proenza

Hi everyone! I am ready to help you achieve all your fitness goals. I have a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education and I have been in the industry for 14 years as an athlete, trainer, coach, and teacher. My specialty is in gaining muscle and physique changes, so if you want two tickets to the "gun show," I'm your guy. 

While I'm not at the gym (which if I could, I would live in the gym), I'm usually at home reading my favorite book series (One Piece) or watching my favorite hockey and football teams (sorry Bostonians, I'm a Pittsburgh fan through and through). I love walking around the city to keep myself active when I'm not at home or at the gym. I moved to Boston less than 6 months ago, and I am loving walking around the city to stay active and discover new places.

Sometimes health and fitness goals can feel like brick walls, but if you are willing to go through them, I'm the trainer that will help chisel those walls down.

Ninja

Paulina Sterpe

I have always had a proclivity for flying through the air, from springboard diving to flying trapeze. I discovered Ninjasport in 2015 and was instantly hooked. I bring 5+ years of obstacle coaching experience to Amplify.

I am a two-time American Ninja Warrior competitor, and the 2022 Adult Female World Champion and 2022 'World's Strongest Ninja' in the World Ninja League. I am also a former Zumba® Fitness Instructor and you are likely to find me grooving between sets at the gym. I am thrilled to join Amplify as your ninja staff!

My name is Tracy Brooks, I’m a wellness enthusiast and proud mom of an amazing daughter and three fantastic sons. I am fascinated by inner wealth and the positive impact that the right plan can make.

I started my fitness journey 25 years ago with tae bo, cycling, and dance, which resulted in a 100 pound weight loss and infinity tools to stay fit. I am a forever learner and honored to pay that forward to all who are willing to learn with me.

My name is Christian. I have a background in Exercise Science, receiving my bachelors in 2018. I have previous experience in the gym as a personal trainer. My hobbies include playing soccer (both competitive and recreational), working out, and occasionally video games. I’m passionate about helping others in any way I can. Fun fact: I have a twin!

Hi I’m Dani! On my free time I enjoy watching soccer, trying new food spots, and hanging out with friends. Two of my favorite things to do are play soccer and be in the gym! A fun fact about me is that I’m a triplet!
